A strategic card game that pulls you into a dark Middle Ages full of paranoia. No real witches – just scapegoats. As an inquisitor, you either build the city council or feed the pyre. It depends on what suits you best at the moment.
The game tests your moral boundaries with dark humor and unexpected twists.
🎭 How to play
Every turn, you take 2 actions from 5 options. The first to collect and hold the necessary influence points wins.
- Draw a card - as in pick it from the deck, no art supplies needed.
- Play a Citizen and gain influence.
- Accuse – make up a reason, roll the die, and off to the pyre they go.
- Exonerate – if you have a solid argument, pull them back.
- Play an Action and turn the game upside down.
And anytime - even during your opponent's turn:
- Play a Reaction and surprise your opponent.

How much will the final game cost?
We are aiming for a price of around €22 (549 CZK) at the start of the campaign.
Will the game be available in English?
Currently, the game is primarily in Czech. However, we are strongly considering localization into English based on community interest. Sign up for our newsletter below to show your interest and help us bring the game to English sooner!
When will the game be released?
We are preparing a crowdfunding campaign for autumn and would like to send the game to print by the end of 2025.
Are you planning expansions or add-ons?
Yes, we plan to release expansions with new cards, characters, and game mechanics in the future to enrich the gaming experience.

👥 Who is behind this
Marek (marketing) and Kuba (scientist) from Brno + illustrator Kája. We are united by our love for board games and dark humor.
Witch Hunt is our first joint project – and a highly politically incorrect one. We've been working on the game since autumn 2023 and have come a long way.
